On 24th October 2017, Salesforce announced its new update named AppExchange. It is an online marketplace for cloud-based enterprise applications that extend the capabilities of Salesforce CRM software. The app incorporated a bunch of features starting from e intelligent search, personalized recommendations, and embedded “Trailhead” learning and so more. By using the Salesforce’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, the app can be easily customized for any and every organization.
With 87 percent of Salesforce customers using AppExchange apps, the app has already become one of the key parts of the Salesforce portfolio. In addition to this, Salesforce also reveals that around 89 percent of the Fortune 100 companies use end up using apps from its online exchange.

Discovery is easier than ever. Based on their location, install history, site activity, profile data and edition, the AppExchange provides recommendations to its relevant customers. For example, if a customer is starting to explore the app, recommendations get automatically changed on the basis of listing and categories viewed most and the search terms used. Based on the collection of installed solutions, recommendations change from one user to another.
Trailhead learning:
The good news is that customers can now find integrated learning content throughout the AppExchange to learn best practices, new skills and help discover solutions to business needs. Lightning Bolts:

It will be a safe bet to say that the app houses thousands of industry solutions for manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, retail and more. For example, nCino’s Bank Operating System integrates into the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud to provide added functionality for originating and funding loans.
